Ziebart, the vehicle appearance and protection franchise headquartered on East Maple Road in Troy, ranked No. 270 on the 2026 Franchise Times Top 400 list.

The annual ranking measures the largest U.S.-based franchise systems by global systemwide sales. Franchise Times listed Ziebart’s global systemwide sales at $170 million, up 13.3% from the prior year.

Its ranking slipped five places from No. 265 in 2025.

The publication listed 415 locations, including 163 in the United States and 252 internationally. Ninety-seven percent were franchised. Ziebart says its network spans 32 countries.

“Earning a place on the Franchise Times Top 400 speaks to the consistency of our system and the dedication of our franchise owners,” Thomas A. Wolfe, Ziebart’s president and chief executive officer, said in an Oct. 13 company announcement.

The company also reported a 285% increase in franchise leads. Its July announcement placed that increase in the first half of 2026.

The recognition follows other industry rankings this year. Ziebart placed No. 1 in Entrepreneur’s Automotive Appearance Services category and No. 144 on its Franchise 500 list, according to the magazine’s franchise profile.

Ziebart launched its Gold Shield Protection Program, an in-house vehicle protection offering, in early 2026, Franchise Times reported. Mattiacio Group became the brand’s largest franchisee in 2025 after acquiring 17 additional locations.

The company’s first outlet opened in Detroit in 1959.
